Almost finished Single Man, Dancing Alone

My first novel, The House of Fortune, took me eight years to write. I had the idea for the book way back in 1991 during the first Gulf war. I had been living in Qatar since 1977, working initially as an English teacher then broadcasting. I planned to stay for two years and ended up staying for twenty three, leaving in 2000!
