The House of Fortune

In Qatar in the 80s. It was here on the north east coast of the peninsula where I decided to begin the story of the Qatari family - The Al Bahr. 'The House of Fortune' recreates that simple life in the early days of Qatar when pearling was the only industry. I wrote the book back in Kent, having done a degree in creative writing. It took me eight years of research and writing until finally published in 2019.
